We worked our way back towards the lighthouse and out near Black Rock Linda got hold of 3 foot hammerhead shark on her ultralight spinning rod. It was a great fight and she got it right up to the boat, but we decided not to invite Mr. Shark on board. That was the first hammerhead either of us had seen.
We decided to head up the East River on the way in and we worked our way past the oyster bars at the entrance. This was the first time we had ever gotten past them and on up the river. Beautiful up there. High tide helped, too.
Linda got 19" trout on a shrimp, so we had dinner covered. All in all a very interesting day with lots of new (for us) territory explored. The best part is that we didn't hit anything!
We both want to thank the members of the NFGCF Club who have taken the time to offer encouragement and advice. It has challenged us to explore new areas and try new things.
