Manatee Hunting Workshop

April Fool's Day is a "for-fun-only" observance. Nobody is expected to buy gifts or to take their "significant other" out to eat in a fancy restaurant. Nobody gets off work or school. It's simply a fun little holiday, but a holiday on which one must remain forever vigilant, for he may be the next April Fool!

No joke...I have a friend that is old school fla. cracker from S. Fla. He tells a story of when he was a teenager the less fortunate families that made a meager living off of the Sea had a regular diet of manatee. He said that his mother would send him to school with a PB&J sandwich that he would trade for the manatee sandwich. Said it was really good. Actually tasted more like pork than anything else.
