Econfina Scallops?

Post by Hooked »

Thinking about making a scallop trip to Econfina this coming weekend. Are there any scallops to speak of in the Econfina area? How is the water clarity? Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks, Hooked

Was out that way Saturday, the water was like 5 day old coffee.
I was in 2 feet of water and could not see a thing.
If there are scallops down there you will have to feel for them.
I hope things clear up some soon.

RX Fisher,
Thanks for the info. That will save me a long drive for nothing. Do you know if the water is that stained down at Keaton Beach?
Thanks, Hooked

Scalloping in 14 feet, now that's a lot of work.
Hope they were using scuba
