Lanark - afternoon

Post by Reel Slow »

Seein as how BD and I will be wearing out the trout on Friday/Saturday out of the new space shuttle, figured I would give the reds a try today out of my old hack. Rearranged my afternoon schedule, bummed a buddy, and headed out. Found a flat arse sea

Searched some new ground in preparation for the September Tourney  Found 3 new areas holding reds that I hadn't fished before and 2 were loaded up. Over sand, the reds were so silver it was hard to see the strike. We boated just over 30 reds, had 7 double hook-ups, 3 on the last school which held the largest fish we found today. Largest was 26" but most were lower slot or smaller.

Oh yeah, BD talked me into buyin one of the Challenger Marsh Master rods (or else I couldn't ride in his new boat :o ). Got to say I really liked it  Good backbone but casts light lures very well and with the braid it was awesome. Think I'll get another :D

See you folks at SBJ in a few.
