Panacea 5/9

Went out looking for some Cobia with a back up plan of doing some Mackerel or trout fishing. The Cobia were elusive and the bite was slow on pretty much everything. Did manage to boat a nice trout on a barrel roller with a white 3" gulp shrimp and a lethargic Spanish on of all things a sabiki rig out at the birdrack marker out of Panacea. Weather was a bit choppy for going out to marker 24 to find the cobia. No chatter on the radio which was a surprise considering the number of boats i saw. Temperature was nice though with rolling cloud cover.
