What kind of fish inside the sandbar this time of year?
We stayed in this condo on the 18th floor at PCBeach this weekend for a wedding. At about 8 a.m. on Saturday morning before anyone was in the water, I see this 3 ft. long shape drift in over the first sandbar in about 6 ft. of water and slowly cruise up the beach and out of sight to the East. It actually looked like a barracuda shape to me, long and skinny, no dorsal fin evident, but seemed to have a large tailfin, but nothing ever broke the surface. Could it be a King, but looking at the pictures of one, a king appears a little too fat through the middle. Any ideas?

Well, without a doubt I am going to start carrying a smaller rod and a couple of chartruse lures in the truck just for situations like this. Man, wouldn't that big Cobia have been fun on 10 lb. test !! Or at least fun until he burnt up my reel !
