It was a heck of a trip. It's a good thing I went. The other three idiots needed some adult supervision.

Thanks to Ms. Chalk for arranging the trip. Thanks to all three of the guys for dragging an old man along. Even with being threatened with body piercing, tattoos, and other things, I had a ball. Birddog, Ms. TC got a kick out of the phone conversation. She was a bit concerned when I told her I was driving, but you put her mind at ease when you told her I was the most sober of the bunch.

A special thanks to Barhopr for putting up with me in the boat for the duration of the trip. I'm looking forward to the next adventure.

Possibly the best part of the story occurred a couple of months ago, when Chalk called to invite mo on this trip. Ms. TC answered the call. Chalk talked to her for 15 minutes, filling her in on the plans, before I had any idea what was going on. Ms. TC handed me the phone. She didn't tell me who it was, or what it was about. All she said was "You're going".

Chalk, if you can wind the rubber band in that Ford a little tighter, I'll get us there in 1.5 hours less time next trip.
What was I supposed to do today?

Chalk,
Shoot me a PM and I will give you some great spots to fish in that area. All were provided by a guide who fishes there year round. If you think the fishing is good in the Key West area, the Marquesas is better!!
The Marquesas is about 24 miles south west from Key West. Most of the run is in water that is 4 feet or less. One crossing of 6 or 7 miles that may force you to slow down due to deeper water depth (20/30 feet). Took us about 35 min in my boat. Spent three days last year in June and went back in Sept to Permit fish. We caught it all! Bones on small jigs tipped with small Gulp strips (SHHH! big secret) permit and tarpon on silver dollar size crabs. Get a bubbler (cheap) and your crabs will last for a week with out much attention. E-mail is Glaccum@rose.net

Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to report, post the pic's and the video's so the rest of us could see a little of the fun time. I especially like the boat ride to the Atlantic in the last one. I could start out every morning that way I think :D
