Casey.

Thanks for taking me along. I enjoyed my first trip out of the Econfina, and the Blind Hog is a sweet ride.

I think the point was that this wasn't really a secret spot, as neither Casey nor I have fished out of the Econfina before. However, this is a fishing forum, and as an abassador to the sport, Casey was just trying to help some folks out. You know, contribute more than 19 post since joining 3 years ago.

Imagine what the stringer would have looked like if we had talked about the seceret spots

now that i have more time to reply here is my contribution as requested by one of our distinguished members. i was catching my first trout before you men were a gleam in your daddy's eye. i have learned from my fathers mistakes because back then a school of fish was 200- 300 hundred, not 2 -3 as it is today and you could keep as many as you could catch. SEE THE PROBLEM? And don't even ask about a redfish then because they were hard to come by for the same reasons. the only thing that saved this sport is limitations. All i'm saying is allow for the same limitations when posting. this sport is a privilege and so should be guarded as one. Nothing wrong with learning, but come on, lets tell the truth, this is more like 90% bragging and 10% educational. :smt006

Some of us post even when we have bad days, go look at mine during the months of December, January, and February...maybe you should try it every now and then...I personally think that the whole goal of this organization is to introduce people to fishing and teach them to respect nature. The more people that are introduced to this sport, the more people know what a resource we need to protect and conserve.
As for my "secret spots", I have no problems telling people what I used and where I went...let's be honest, if you get fired up about winning $100 in an NFGFC tournament (basically enough money to cover the weekend's fishing), then you're out on the water for the wrong reasons. None of us are trying to make it on the FLW Redfish Series (ok, maybe BirdDog and Reel Slow)...instead we enjoy both catching fish and the fellowship that takes place at the weigh-in...chill out dude.
Boom goes the dynamite.

Hot tip - If you go out of Econfina and head east or west there are alot of bars, enough bars to keep you busy for a week or three.

I don't see any rhyme or reason in your comments...Three guys and two limits of trout and some redfish...Their report does not imply they keep an illegal limit, only what they caught. Their post is in-line and follows the same format as the rest of the 24,628 in the inshore fishing section. You might of been catching trout when they were a gleam in their daddy's eye, but you need to try getting up on the other side of the bed tomorrow.

Thank you,

Chalk

Forgive him Chalk he is a mortician, and for getting up on the wrong side of the bed, he probably hasn't been to bed in 3 days.
