Got up early Saturday morning and left out of the lighthouse with my girlfriend. Fished the east flats and started drifting in 6' of water. Caught nothing but a spanish until about 10am when we moved to 8' to 10' of water and started jigging on the bottom. We then started pulling in the trout left and right and after teaching my girlfriend to cast a spinning a rod and jg on the bottom she began to out fish her mentor in a few minutes and caught the largest trout of the day. Meet up with a bud and his wife and drifted together catching trout and 3 sharks up to 5'. Great day on the water. Finally tally 4 trout, 1 spanish and a couple of rock bass and 1 grouper about 4 inches long. Headed to the hill about 2pm. Not bad but a little slow today. First fishing trip in a month been in the hospital with gallbladder problems so just being on the water was great.

Good trip Red. Glad to see that you got into them. Also glad to see that you are out of the hospital. That CRMC food gets old after a while doesn't it?
