With it being hotter than the 9th level of Hetes, me, my dad & my boys waited till 6:30pm to take a ride out to the lighthouse to piddle a bit while the ladies were out. There was no one out there when we got there and a nice breeze to boot. As always, I threw a few poles in the boat just in case we decided to fish  We went just east of the lighthouse and the boys wanted to stop and fish.....dad was also included with the boys. I rigged them up with a few molting gulps and let 'em go. Immediately it was "FISH ON" all around the boat. The trout were everywhere.....and HUNGRY. I saw that there was a late high tide and the water was moving well. Within an hour we had a 3 man limit of trout and were throwing them back! We stayed till just before dark and the sun was setting about the time we got back to Shields. We stopped off at Riverside for dinner and headed home with a nice cooler of unexpected trout. Yet again, the gulp came through

The trout ranged from 16"-23" and all we used was the gulp fished in 3-4 ft. of water.

yes....
yes....
yes....
nope on the photos.....left the camera in the truck :x

Actually, it was more than 3 limits of trout. That's just what we brought back....and didn't include the ones that got off at the boat due to fathead not bringing the net  We probably caught 40 trout in a 1 hour period with only a few under 15".....it was a blast and I was glad that I did it with my dad and my boys. You dont get too many bites like that!!!!!
