Flounder Pounder and I took his skiff out later yesterday afternoon to get some mid-week rod bendings. It was hot and breezy with a slight incoming tide. The fishing was a tad slow, but we did manage to pick up a 25" and a few 20" reds. That should hold me over until this weekend. 8)

Nice red! Heck even if the fishing's slow it's still better than being at work. Wanna trade? 8)

Did you catch that red while it was tailing? Based on the spot I believe your photo was taken, there have been a bunch of reds and sheephead tailing on that bar with the outgoing tide.

They usually start tailing with about a foot of water left on the bar and everything I pitch at them just spooks them off the bar for 2-3 minutes. After a 30 minute tailing session they move off the bar.

There wasn't any tailin' going on. Those reds were laying on the bottom sweatin' their arses off. I just hand delivered some small mullet to 'em.
