The bottom of my boat looks like the face of an old lady.
While fishing I have galged the bottom of boat many times. Sometimes exposing the green fiberglass under the gelcoat. All I have done to repair it is put a little 5200 on my finger and coat the damage. Some of the 5200 is over 3 years old and is still there.
These rocks are everywhere and even with a trolling motor its difficult to miss them all while the wind is blowing.
When the Space Shuttle had the tile probelms last month, I thought to myself. "All they need is some 5200"

My buddy had one on his 16 Hewes. It did not seenm to affect the performance but did cover up some nice keel gouges, but it was in good shape. It started peeling off torwards the back and slowly worked its way forward (almost dragging the ground when on the trailer) til he finally ripped it off.fishfeeder wrote:I am planning on installing a Keel Guard this weekend....
