Brain Teaser
OK so lets see if any can figure this out, it is a logic problem. You are outside of a room with no windows and no way for light to escape, i.e. under the door etc. There are three light switches outside of the room, and one light bulb hanging in the room, eye level. You can enter the room only once, and can not leave the door open or turn any of the switches while the door is open. One of the light switches turns the light on. How do you know which one, for sure, turns the light on in the room. Oh yeah you don't have anyone to go into the room for you, and you don't have x-ray vision or any tools that could help you, just the switches and the light bulb. Have fun. First one to get it gets a gold star!!!

Well DTK, It's obvious that the room you are standing in has 2 electrical devices... let's say a light and a ceiling fan. Two of the switches operate the stuff in the room you're in - the other must operate the light in the other room behind the door.
use your opportunities ...

Yeah in all reality I hate this place, but gotta be near my kids so I'll grin and bare it. Lucky I have three close friends here, One has a flats boat and a BIL that is a red fish guide, Next has a bass boat, and third has a house boat, pontoon boat, key west flats boat, and 29" center consul. The answer to the brain teaser is actually pretty simple, hint...... its all about flipping swiches and the light bulb!!!

lol best reply so far. But it not the answer, let say some jackleg was holding your boat hostiage and the Only way to get your boat back was to tell him which switch turned the light on, with the parameters I have already set. and you can't storm in and kill the jackleg with your boat but you are right if turn on all three you will have light, you just won't know which switch does it.

Ok, This may be a little out there:
Flip the first one on. Then stand there for a minute or so. Flip the first one off and the second one on and go in the room.
If the bulb is warm, but off, you know it is the first switch. If it is cold and off, you know it was the third switch. And if it is on, well duh....#2
Now, gimme my star

The more I know about something, the more I know that I did not know as much as I thought I knew that I knew.
