Icky/Keaton Beach 10-6,7&8

Post by Fish Dawg »

6 of us and 2 boats fished Saturday at Icky then went to Keaton on Sunday&Monday. Even though the weather reports were marginal,we went anyway. It turned out OK Sat. and a little more wind and rain Sunday BUT we caught the most fish on Sunday.
Saturday we all caught 1 red and 5 keeper trout.
Sunday , with the rain and wind , we all caught 4 reds and 20 keeper trout. All the reds were caught on the flats , under a cork with Gulp.
On Monday ,with the nicest weather, one boat left with 2 guys, so we returned to Keaton, and caught 1 more red and 5 keeper trout.
All in all ,it was a good trip . The largest trout was 20" with some nice 17"&18". All the reds were 19"-23".
