Lanark 12/6

Post by noleflyfisher »

Quick trip today. On the water at 10:30, off at 2:30. Decided to fish some new water that I noticed last weekend. I bounced two fish easing onto the flat so things were looking good. Minutes later I ran into a big fish laid up right in front of the boat. I only had time to roll cast the leader out of the rod and drop the fly off the bow. I watched the fish eat on my rod tip. Found quite a few fish that were real happy on this flat including the only type of Gator I like  . Finished the afternoon with a few more reds at one of my old stand by spots. A little breezy and cool today but certainly better than the office.

My thoughts exactly. Nole, you make me feel less competent everyday. Will you be my hero?
