Check Petersons guides. They have a guide for everything else.

Barhopr wrote:Alright, my question is that is there a Field guide for saltwater crabs, shrimp and various bait fish. I have several for trees, shrubs, birds etc...... they list identifiers for certain times of year and give seasonal changes in foliage, plumage etc... looking for the same thing but with a saltwater slant.
I'll guess you're looking for fly patterns. The examples you asked for cover inverts and vertabrates, which is vast. I could llikely help if your question was more specific, like what does x look like at a certain time.
Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.

Peterson Field Guides series, Atlantic Coast Fishes

Sport Fish of Florida/GOM by Vic Dunaway

All three have detailed illustrations of baitfish (although many of the Peterson plates are B&W).

Don't know of any reference book offhand that focuses on crustaceans, tho. You might check at Bill's in Tally under some of the textbook sections for marine biology.

Let us know if you find a good source, BH.
