Spanish?

We're getting itchy for Spanish mackerel up here on St. Andrew Bay. Any word from around the Bend?

I haven't heard of anyone in the Keaton area see a mackeral yet..but I almost caught a ladyfish today. We usually don't see ladyfish in the winter, so maybe the mackeral are not too far behind.

I saw a big group of gulls diving on some rain bait as I crossed the Mid Bay Bridge yesterday. Spanish shouldn't be too far behind.

Thanks, y'all ... keep us advised. I'm off next week, and I plan to do some fishing amidst the yard work.

noleflyfisher, is that the Destin/Niceville Mid-Bay Bridge? That's the only one I know, being geographically challenged and all. If so, you might see the cobia before we do (at least as I understand it).
