March 29-Suwannee sheephead
Midnight of March 29 I tossed and turned in bed because im so excited that im driving to suwannee from Valdosta at 3:30 in the morning to go fishing. I reached suwannee about 6:30 and had Dad's boat iced up to go fishing. He already had 5 in the boat including a kid. He had a t-top so i decided to go with 5 of my other friends. We got to the last channel and decided to try to work the gps. For some reason still unknown the compass on the gps was stuck on 5. So we dicided to hit out about 14 miles. We found some boats so we stopped and called dad on the radio. He said to go to the next boats we see, so we did. He was there. They was doing ok hitting here and there but none in the boat. We followed dad to the next hole and we was getting a lot of bites and got 5 in the boat. The only thing that made us leave early was that we only had 200 shrimp. That is not a lot with six people on top of some sheephead. We wanted the shrimp to last us so we decided to go to some creek holes in the river and did not catch anything for the rest of the day.
We got back to the hill about 4:30 with 5 fish, mine being the biggest, and 4 shrimp. Once we get there we find out that my dad won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the tournament. HA
