Me and the Son arrived at the launch about 7:30 this a.m., was a might chilly going through the channel markers, but not to bad. Anyway headed to our northerly destination to try our luck in 2 - 2.5 ft of water, at least that was the recomendation of the marina. A little brezzy in the 10 knot range, but probably helped with the bite. First fish in the cooker was a keeper Sea Bass, but not by alot. Next I proceeded to catch a short here, one keeper, couple other shorts, then a nice 18 latched on and made its way to the cooler. At this time the son was getting mighty upset cause he has not sniffed a single bite, ZERO. I ended the day with 3 keepers and a Sea Bass, and the son was skunked..
Saw a three or four pod of these guys (Dolphin), was a little late at the pic, but they are there.
Here is a pic of the changes they did to the launch a Keaton. Used to be able to get three wide, no more. But can be better for those that launch by themselves. unfortunately, that earth mover in the background is in the process of site prep for condos.
