St. Andrews 04/17/08

Post by Chalk »

Plan was to fish some docks with the projected calm forecast.

NOAA was wrong, 5-10 my azz

Saw a few redfish, a few trout and a bunch of beautiful bottom
GPS said 50.1 miles
Hooked three reds, the same three reds threw the spoon back at me...I let out an involuntary expletive on the last one and nearly broke a rod over my knee :x
Caught one grouper and two trout.

I found two small schools of reds late, fished over 12 hours today and I found 50 miles of where not fish anymore.

Can't wait til next time

There are fish over here...As E said it's process of elimination. I fished a place I truely hate today, today reminded me why, but on occasion it holds good fish. I am eliminating spots. Most of my recent poor reports are from fishing places other than my A spots. The few bites that I got today came from my A spots in this certain body of water.

Days like that make you really appreciate days when it all falls into place.
Glad you got out there Chalky.

Well my seriously low knowlege of that area is limited to one particular spot. Hopefully it was not on your itinerary today. :-D
