Well, neighbor, I've really been liking the Ochlocknee lately for bass and cats. If fly-bream are your thing the Miccosukee is hot around nightfall right now. I also like the Withlacoochee for sweet redbellies in May.

Good point Hit-N-Miss - I always try to append that at the bottom of my reports, but sometimes I forget. As far as temperature, I rarely even look any more unless there's been a front. It's been up in the mid 70's to low 80's everywhere I've been for quite a while, with the exception of some low 70's in the west side of SJB this weekend. Once it's over 70, I quit caring unless I can't find fish. Everybody knows cajun thunder, gulp, 2 foot leader is the thing! (but seriously, I usually put what I been fishing, and since I started using Zulus for trout a few months ago, I rarely find occasion to use anything else, cause they almost never quit biting - but sometimes when you get a lot of shorts, switching to a good medium to large sized topwater or crankbait will help weed out the smaller ones)

Just my two cents. We caught good trout a couple of weeks back for three days and did it by going cold turkey on gulps. Used the old tasteless colors and Smithwick rogues (I inherited some) and it sure was cheaper since I had a boxful of obsolete jigs and I'll be honest, I can't tell you what color cause I'm semi color blind. I just use the colors that have produced before. Food for thought: When I was real young decades ago my dad coached at Pelham. They would go down to all the places ya'll mention and drift the flats using nothing but cut mullet and wear the trout out. Got black and white to prove it. Were the trout that plentiful then or have we just remembered another forgotton secret?

I don't ever think about posting depth, baits or temp. Heck, most everyone knows what and where I fish, anyway.

Water temps at Keaton were 69-74 over the weekend. I'd like to tell you where they were, but we didn't find too many. We tried from 6' to 2', water near Spring Warrior was murky. It clears up as you move south toward Keaton. I've thrown everything this year, including gulps, and caught a few on most everything, but nothing works like a pin fish. I'm not sure how so many survive, everything love's em.
