She'll bump 50mph (GPS) by myself but only around 44-45 loaded in saltwater. Im pleased with the boat. I still have some balance issues to work out but She'll get there! Oh and for the record, the hook in the foot didnt hurt, the Tetanus shot I had to get today hurt like hell!! The little nurse gave it to me in the arm and I holla'd like a little biotch. She said , oh I could have given to you in the hip and it wouldnt have hurt near as bad. I exclaimed" Well why didnt you??? " She said as she giggled" I didnt want to see the hip!!!" She is a customer of mine and I can assure you there will be no discounts in her future!!!

I don't think it was "the hip" she was worried about Should have showed up in nothin' but a robe. Good to hear the boat is working out, sorry about the foot.

as far as the fish hook removal.. my dad used to fish the b.a.s.s circuit and hooked himself quite often.. he got tired of going to the ER and finally packed local anesthetic and insulin syringes in his first aid kit.. inject the local and cut the eye off the hook and just push it through and you can keep fishing no problem..he performed this task on me a couple of times when i was younger..its painless..not to mention your kid falls off his bike and gets a rock embedded in him it works for that kinda stuff too(happened to me)

Just curious, where did you pick up all the top end?

No idea, Capt Ron. Thats just what she did when I put her in the water and ran her . Maybe all the weight to the rear of the boat, Im not sure. Everytime I ran her the other day between spots, I of course would nail her and then alternate my speeds and rpms. She'd hit 44-45 everytime I nailed her. I think top speed on my GPS is actually 49.2 in the records section of the GPS memory. I ve not seen 50 yet and its not that important that I do. I imagine when I move the trollers to the front hatches, Im gonna lose a little speed but that's alright too. I need to get with Nole and see what he thinks about me using the rear lift PT prop he was talking about. I think it would help me be able to maintain the attitude of the boat a bit more throughout the throttle range without losing too much speed.

My AGMs are in the forward middle compartment, along with the 3 bank charger. This gives me a fairly level boat at float and I get plenty of bow lift my PT prop. 44.5 is the best I can do loaded to fish with 2 people and a full tank.

What PT prop are you running?? I assume AGMs are trolling motor batteries?? Yours must be built different than mine cause I cant even get one troller in the forward compartment, much less two. That would solve the riddle if I had room there. Im trying not to wind up taking up both of the forward hatches with trolling batteries. If I do, It will leave me the forward middle hatch open which is big and deep. I just need to move more weight forward instead of center.

I'm running a PTR3R18PYM90. Yes they are trolling motor batteries. I have a shelf in the middle forward compartment that the batteries sit on and the 3 bank charger is mounted on the bulkhead.

Did you have the shelf built over the narrow part of the compartment?? A pic would be helpful if you ever get the time!! Thats actually the same prop Im running. Oh yea, Capt Ron, can you use your trim much?? And JT, its way too skinny to think of that in there!!! Besides, we'd be doing donuts on your holes if we did that, you fish the same spots!!
