Cheap Flies

Post by Supa Fly »

Not sure if anyone is interested, but I stopped by that new Sportsman's Warehouse on my way to the Wacissa Saturday, and they sell flies for $0.99 - if you by a dozen or more they're $0.89 each. I will admit, it's not the widest selection, and they're not the best flies I've ever seen, but for a dollar it's hard to go wrong. They have wooly buggers, poppers, crab imitations, shrimp imitations, a few clousers, some toads, etc. They did have a pretty decent tieing material section. As far as rods, it was pretty much Reddington and TFO. I can't remember really which reel brands they carried - Pflueger and a few others I think - nothing I'm very familiar with/ own. It's nice to have a local source for at least some things again.
