With the winds blowing a gail I decided to take a trip to the river @ highway 90 to kinda look at the damage caused all the high water from the past flooding we've had. So with the girlfriend and the dog in tow I'm off to survey the damage, to my surprise not much damage to the houses down from the bridge but just about every dock had some damage including some completly torn down. Also spotted what appeard to be a 12-14 foot boat turned upside down bout 30 foot up a pine tree . After about a hour of riding around enjoying the cooler weather I decided to try my hand at some catfishing and I'm glad I did, in about a hour and a half we caught 7 channel cats with 4 of them weighing about 6 pounds and the others between 2-3 pounds talked to Trouttrent on the phone and he said that the wind was terrible on the gulf and they were only able to manage a few keepers for the Team Seatrout Tourney. So all in all a good afternoon on the water and a good mess of kitty-cats. Oh yea bait used was Sonnys channel cat bait.
Good deal!!! The two gentlemen that I sold my little Malibu river boat to on Saturday said that they were going to go try for some Kitty-cats on Sunday also, hopefully they got some too. When I rode by heading to Newport, I saw there truck and my old trailer at the landing.
*Edit* That reminds me I need to change my sig pic.

It's kind of a funny feeling when you see someone in your old boat. Thank goodness the kid I sold mine to is using the daylights out of it. It made me glad I sold it to him.
