Piney Island 11/22

Post by flounderpounder »

Took the yak out on Saturday in the afternoon with that falling tide. I got setup in a creek and started throwing Jig heads and the action was pretty good. The top of the tide had a bunch of smaller reds but the bottom part was absulutely lights out for upper and over slot redfish. I finished the afternoon with over 25 reds from 17 to 29 inches.

I thought I cleaned that hole out earlier in the day. Must be a magic redfish duplicator buried down in the mud.

Nice work. Wondering, what jig/plastic do you like?
Me, Strike King Zulu or ZToo (pearl) with a
1/16 oz Mikes jig -The jigs that are no where to be found anywhere near here. :-?

Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.

hard to come by the "real" ztoo's anymore too. i like the pearl blue glimmer myself. the older softer ones with the super salty packaging were the best.
