Post by snakefly »

Hey guys, Im pulling my boat to carrabelle for a few days in late april, and have found it hard to find any info about fly fishing the area. I know better then to ask for spots, so Ill just ask what flies I should bring with me. I was told you guy would help me out. I also was told to keep a rod rigged up for cobia, I will bee very thankfull for any help.

Most any fly will work within reason - clousers, kwans, toads, merkins, deceivers, etc.

Natural colors (pinfish, sardine, shrimp, crab) to unnatural (pink/green, pink/white, black/purple, etc) are all good...depends on the fish and what they are eating...hard to say - the fish will let you know.

Great place to fish you can fish sand or grass and a combination of the two

Welcome and look forward to a report

Are you the same river pirate from GKF? We have talked at some of the get togethers, I talked with you for a while at the sallow water expo, I was working in the TFO booth.
