Dear Apalachee Bay anglers,
Another fishing season is in the making. Most of you are already catching reds and trout all over Apalachee Bay. I have seen some real good photos. As time allows it, I'm trying to get out and wet a line too. Like we used to say: "it's the flat's explosion". . .
I wanted to share with you an upcoming event that Cypress Rudloe is organizing and producing: their first annual wine tasting fundraiser to support the Lab: "Sharks and Chablis" will take place in Panacea, Florida at the Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory, May 17 from 4:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come and enjoy a nice evening of wine tasting, seafood buffet and great music.
Over 15,000 children and adults have visited this facility each year for the last 20 years. Gulf Specimen Marine Lab Aquarium is a 501C-3 nonprofit educational institution. They have received the Chevron Texaco International Conservation award, the Gulf Guardian award, and the Governors Community Service award. At the present time, the lab is in need of repairs and additions so they can continue to provide this valuable service to our future generations.
Cypress has exhibited a tremendous initiative and enthusiasm preparing this first event. I know I can count with our local angling community to help him make it a success.
Please call Cypress at 850-984-5297 or email him at rudloe.cypress@gmail.com.
Good luck and good fishing to all!
