Water clearing up?

Post by DriftingSun »

Anybody have a report or prediction on what our local waters are going to look like either now or this weekend? Was hoping to find some cleaner water than last week but am I dreaming?

Water in St George Sound around the East Pass appears stained but tolerably clear from my vantage point on 98, 5 west of Carrabelle.
I would advise folks to run with caution. I saw a sizable tree stump with nasty looking roots about 3-400 yards from the beach, today. With all the unusually high water in the woods north of here over the past week, there's probably a lot of floating stuff coming in the bays, some of it visible, likely other stuff, that is not.
Y'all be careful..

Right on Qoutrage. I saw a big floater 2 miles off of St. Marks this week that could've ruined someone's day.

Ran St Joe to Panacea today and it's dark all the way. Mostly tannin but a lot of mud too.
Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.

Yesterday, the water looked pretty good near the rocks west of Aucilla. It was stained red, but clear.

St. Andrews Bay looked like iced tea on Saturday. I did not fish earlier in the week so I don't know if it had cleared any, but it was pretty nasty looking this weekend.
