Wanted: Used Bay Boat. (BOUGHT ONE)

Post by CSMarine »

My daughter is looking for a used 19' or bigger bay boat. Price range $10-$12,000. Will be a family boat, so must be dependable.

Why used? They can get a new one, with warranty for around that or just a little more :-D

Don't think I've seen a 19 foot or bigger bay boat for $10,000. or 12,000.

Don's Boats has an 18V Kenner with a 50 Merc and Galv trailer for $9,995.
And you can probably beat these prices for Carolina Skiffs in your area :-D

She has a lot of options for the money she's talking about. I would never recommend a Kenner because of the low cut transom. Besides, a 50 merc is way too small for an 18V. Got a friend who has an 18V with a 90 Merc. Couldn't stand anything smaller on the back of it.

It's 17 foot ain't it. She's got 3 kids who have been fishing the gulf with me all their life, but she wants a 19 foot for them. I'll tell her about it anyway. I'll give her the site she can see it.
