We took the chance on the weather and fished offshore the conditions were good with 2-3 ft.seas in the am. fished mostly SW of Dog Island in 60-80 ft of watter water seemed very clear and the bite was slow to moderate the fish neaver realy seemed to turn on but the action was steady enough so as not to loose interest.we were using strctly cut bait & squid most of the fish were holding extremely tight to the structure and were finicky on the bite however we did manage to come home with 9 or 10 keepers we also got into a few red snapper but we had to let them go I tell you it was real tough to turn a 10-12 lb. red snapper loose  but all in all it was a darn good day. Ihope those of you who fish today good luck.
