So where do we start..

OK, we are headed on our way to Keaton. and I am just about to cross over I-75 headed down Madison hwy, when a Davis Trucking tractor and trailer decides its time to exit I-75 and turn left.. WTF dude, another 100 feet and I would have hit his azz, should have went home right then. Motored down the Keaton canal made the right turn and was propmtly welcomed with 20 MPH winds and short interval white caps on the flats.. Not until low tide around 11:30 did it calm some. then the fish were none to be.

Strike 2. OK, so its taking longer to get to spot, and the more North the worse its gettin, or so it seemed. So we are tring to fish this mess, get a short here and there, and then, what exactly happened I'am not sure, but one minute I have my favorite rig, and next I don't ,and the water is stained and I'am trin to hunt my $100 rod and reel, cursing every known word.. Strike 3

Ended the day with a bunch of shorts and one keeper, and the parking lot at Keaton almost looked like scallop season.
The only positive note is the spanish are out there. Maybe not big numbers yet, but a few people caught some, and I had the leader form the CT come missing. If Trout are not leader sensitve, I think its time to use wire this time of year.
Now I have seen othe boats with kickers, but this was kinda strange. A 9.9 main with a 4.0 kicker..
