The No-dolphinatic, Grouper Trip

Post by dolphinatic »

A buddy called me yesterday afternoon wanting to go offshore fishing Monday. Due to prior obligations, I unfortunately had to decline :x I had been wanting to try some "new" grouper numbers, so I sent them with him and told them to enjoy. I just talked to the crew and here's the report:

They went out around O-Tower and had 3 ft. seas all day. They limited out on snapper around O with one red snapper going 30" and weighing 15 lbs :o They ended up trying a few spots I gave them near the Exxon, and all the could manage was 1 gag :smt009 The did manage to get broke off and lose several nice fish on the little live bait they had.

Conclusion: I'm going Friday with LOTS of live bait and the big tackle and show 'em how to do it
