local ponds

Post by bigirishllp »

over the last few days I've been hitting local ponds in town while out working, 20 mins here, 30 mins there. Small bass are hitting on bream imitations on full sink, and catching lots of blue gill and crappie on wholly buggers on the 4wt. Any body else playing the urban fly fisherman?

Not really urban - but fishing Lake Hall. Haven't done too well lately with the fly rod - fish have gone deep or in the weeds.

I don't fly fish, but I've been doing real well lately on 7'' black plastic worms for bass. Biggest one probably 4 lbs. All from a local pond.
