AND a little concerned
My girl "7th grader" was invited by Duke to take the early SAT and the scores are back. She averaged scoring higher than 29% of Seniors applying for college "with her highest being 36% higher" of which I am very proud
What concerns me is that a 7th grader CAN get higher scores than so many kids that are applying for college My girl is smart but she aint no Einstein either which really makes me worry about our countries future

Congrats Wevans! I totally understand both emtions. Pretty sad when a 7th grader that hasn't had high school math (geometry, calculus, etc) can score higher than a large portion of seniors. If your girl is looking towards Duke and similar schools ya'll better save some pennies over the next 5 years.
Are you bringing the whole crowd to the social? I haven't seen Dale and the crew in a while.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.
Heck, I aint seen Dale in months! I think they put him into a special unit at the sheriffs department and that has kept him busy And if the girl goes to Duke, it'll be on THIER dime

HEY WEVANS BRAG ALL YA CAN WHILE YA CAN, I WILL DO A LITTLE BRAGGIN MYSELF. MY OLDEST GRANDAUGHTER JUST GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE WITH HIGH HONORS, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT KIND OF SCHOLORSHIP IT WILL EARN FOR HER TO GO AFTER HER MASTERS, SHE HAS EARNED MOST OF HER COLLEGE TUITION, BOOKS, AND BOARD WITH THE SCHOLORSHIPS SHE QUALIFIED FOR SO FAR.

That's awesome!!! Just keep her focused! I did the same thing when I was in 7th grade, went up to Duke, etc... spent the summer up there for their mathematics program did the SAT thing, etc... one heck of an experience.
And you shouldn't worry too much, because when she is "able" to change the future, you'll know she's going to be one heck of a leader doing so!!!
congrats on the feeling of "yeah, my daughter is awesome!"
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark
