Need props to test (will pay shipping) 200 HO ETEC

Post by slayer »

anybody have any props they are willing to let me test( I will pay shipping to and from)???? I will also be responsable for any damage while I have the prop....

I am currently running a 20p raker on my 2200 Nautic Star Bay boat, with my 200HO etec, I can spin this thing up to about 6300r's which is way to high...thinking I need to go to a cupped 21 or a 4 blade 22 to get my #'s right...I do have a Flo-torqe hub sysstem that will allow me to try Mercury props also......

finding a way to test props in or around Atlanta has proven to be a dismal failure....all of the certified "prop-swap" programs are a joke, both the OMC and Merc programs are non-existant around here....so I figured I would see if any of yall had some spare props that yall were willing to allow me to test and possabilly buy if they work...

let me know what yall have and maybe we can work out a deal.......

Prop swap programs are a joke. Good luck on finding someone willing.

For what it's worth, the Raker you're running is a highly cupped prop. 2" of pitch = roughly 200 RPM. However, 24" of pitch seems like a whole lot for the boat you're running. Give PowerTech a call. They know their stuff, and can probably point you in the right direction.
What was I supposed to do today?

yea I know it would be tough testing props due to the fact that its a "trust" thing...but what they hey, thats what these types of forums are here for,,this is a "community" that revolves around fishing, ya never know till ya ask....I have talked to powertech, and propgods and BRP and propco.....and all of them have an opinion on what I need...but nothing helps dial in a boat like actual testing...which brings me back to trying to locate props to test.....If I find some to test it would be great, if not, thats ok to.....in the end, it's all good

14 1/4 X 20....hoping to find a 22 or 23 pitch....I think with the right 4 blade I can get more bow lift....per my engine specs, I believe that the max WOT should be 5850 and the optimum being around 5600 to 5700

call marcus at Power Tech. They have all the statistics in their computer of just about every boat and motor combo out there and he is rarely wrong on prop selection. you will not have to buy but one from him more than likely.

Too bad Wal-Mart doesn't sell props. You could buy several and return them. Wal-Mart will let you return anything!

I have a prop that you can try out. I don't know what it is as it has no markings on it. Where are you located?
