4/0 EWG Gamakatsu offset worm hook.

It varies depending on the length of the jerkboat but the way we were taught was with a 5/0 offset hook. The offset keeps the grass off the jerkbait and you run the hook through the chin. I just saw the same setup in Florida Sportsman

I have had good luck with Owner Offset Worm Wide Gap in 3/0 and Owner Rig'N Hook in 4/0

Boy, they sure didn't cover our area for inshore much at all. They did mention Pat Mcgriff but not much fishing info for our area which I think is a good thing kept them guessing and maybe the'll stay away

Yeah! Ya'll Georgia boys frequenting this site make sure to watch and see ALL those AWESOME fish being caught in other parts of Florida! C'mon you know ya'll want to make some long road trips for SNOOK, TARPON, & PERMIT!

Well, I'm sure the sponsors on this site would like it for folks to visit from other areas and frequent their establishments. And if people are not fishing and spending money then you would not see lots of different rods, reels and lures out there. You would be fishing with a Zebco 33 with 10 lb stren mono on an Ugly stick with a slider cork and a cotee jig head with a dead shrimp on it all excited about limiting out on Trout today (Sorry JT51, didn't mean anything personal by that). But the big picture is, now you have a large selection of rods, reels, lures, and places to buy your gear, and those places support these forums where you can read about what folks are using to catch certain fish. Making your trips more exciting and productive. If you can bring your friends down from Gerogia, and take them to the coast and catch limits of trout and reds with a guide, then you are more likely to come back. If you decide to come back enough then you might buy yourself a boat, and gear. And learn to find fish on your own and really enjoy what its all about. Then one day you might be the guy passing along information about where you caught them and with what. And other people will listen to your stories and repeat your adventures. This makes the retailers happy, and we all get pretty toys to catch fish with.

Well said Jeff.
We need more folks from Georgia and Alabama to come down and spend some time on the coast we enjoy. Then maybe, just maybe we will be able to support some new and existing restaurants, marinas and other types of supporting business. If you look at the city of Carrabelle and what has closed in the last year you would welcome out of state fishermen to our areas.

Same problem in lots of places. Folks don't realize how cheap it is to visit our area and what a great time they can have with our local guides or just from reading these forums and fishing with these folks.

All it takes to see the problems with more exposure to a certain fishery is to take a few trips to the more popular destinations. Increased presure on the fish, ripped up grass flats from idiot boaters, poll and troll zones, increased scrutiny from environazis. I feel for the guides, hotels etc... but I for one would hate to see central/south FLA move up this way.

can you say Mosquito Lagoon.

When I fish there, I stay as far away as I can from Tiger Shoals. There are parts of the ML that look like I-75 after a Gator game.
