Just rub it in guys(LOL) I missed out on a good motor. My loss. Maybe Mr. Welby can use his use his "powers" and let me know when the next good motor is available. I am glad you were able to sell the motor. Thanks for posting it!

Forgive us, brother. You have to know the rest of the story.

Reel Addiction,
Forgive Breeze and I for jerking your chain.....I was amazed when I saw that Breeze had posted the "6HP Johnson" for sale. Breeze has been a friend of mine since childhood and we have continued to be great friends over the years as well as fishing buddies. His family is like my family and mine like his...you get the picture...He and I have often been on a lake or pond and spoke of the simply things that we enjoy in life and the "6HP Johnson" has been apart of some of those talks. He has owned it for a while and has not needed it but couldn't see selling it. Well when I first saw it posted I was caught off guard and called a couple of people that I thought might be able to use it. Then, once I pondered it a bit, it hit me. My 15 year old stepson that loves fishing as much as any young man I know will soon have a drivers liscense and the ability to head out on his own fishing adventures. Well, self preservation kicked in and I realized that this would be a chance to get the key element (motor) in a first fishing rig (not to mention avoiding conflict over taking my boat and the friction that might arise while learning the ins and outs of boating). So I called Breeze up and told him that the motor was sold. This accomplishes many things, A) keeps peace and harmony in the home. B) gets a young fisherman on the path of pursuing his fishing dreams. and C) keeps the motor "in the family" so to speak.
Now all I need is a good deal on a 12' to 14' jon boat and then maybe a trailer.....From there I'll let him work to add the extra's
Keep your eyes open for a good boat for me and I will do the same for a motor for you...
