Took the kayak out this afternoon. Today the grass flats were in perfect form. The tide was rising, the wind was light, and I saw only a very distant boat or two all afternoon. The cool mornings and lack of rainfall have allowed the water to get near aquarium clear which improves sightfishing for reds. Pitching an ADL chartruse spoon I was able to watch the redfish turn and chase. I caught reds and trout for several hours. Too bad they can't all be like today. Here's a few of the highlights.
