Hello everyone.
Most of us are aware of how bad the situation is getting with old or bad quality fuel in carburetors. The old way of cleaning carburetors just does not cut it anymore. Therefore, while not always guaranteed to resolve carb problems, the best way to clean carburetors is most often by using an ultrasonic cleaner. With this being said I'd like everyone to know that I have just purchased an ultrasonic cleaner. This is not your everyday, inexpensive, Harbor Freight or simple jewelry cleaner. This is the real deal. So, if anyone needs to get there carbs cleaned, I have offered my son (high school sophomore) to make some part time money by cleaning carbs. I am teaching him how to do this and he has been doing very well. It's not a complicated process. I do not have gaskets, jets or any other carb parts. That will be up to you purchase them. Also, you would have to remove your carbs from your engine. We would disassemble them. If someone needs there carbs cleaned just let me know. The going rate to have this done at marinas and outboard repair shops (for those that have them) is about $100 per carb but they do the labor of removing the carb. I think that $25 per carb is a fair price. If you think that's too much then let me know. So that's the deal. If anyone needs this service just send me a PM. Don't forget that Spring time is right around the corner.

Re: Ultrasonic cleaning of carburetors
Just a reminder! If anyone out there needs to have their carbs cleaned, just let me know. If you pull them off and bring them to me I will clean them at $50 per cleaning. Does not matter if you have one or four carbs and I can fit them all in the basket . As long as I can run them one time, it's a fixed $50. If you have never had your carbs cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner you will be surprised at how "new" looking they will come out. Of course, an ultrasonic cleaner does not fix corrosion issues. Pretty much any carbs can be cleaned. Outboard, lawnmower, car, etc. I'm showing my son how to do this so that he can put a little gas money in his truck.
