Re: Lanark Marina/Market
And the most important thing of all that you will need, the gift of gab
getting and giving info will be your main attraction for folks that don't hit the water every week
If I go to a new area and a store owner gives me some good advice on fishing that area, they just made a customer for life

Re: Lanark Marina/Market
Congratulations and best wishes, Culrich.
Your plans sound great and will be a welcome addition to the area. Non-ethanol gas is more expensive. But as the problems with ethanol grow, boaters are willing to pay the extra cents per gallon to avoid future repair bills.
A deli that sells biscuits and fresh sandwiches would be a popular feature for me and my clients as well.

Re: Lanark Marina/Market
CONGRATULATIONS, AFTER BEING IN 29 DIFFERENT VENTURES OVER MY LIFE SPAN OF 75 YEARS WORKING, LET ME GIVE YOU A LITTLE ADVICE BEFORE YOU START. WHAT EVER YOU DO , DO NOT GO INTO ANY VENTURE UNLESS YOU ARE OVER CAPITALZED, BE SURE YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO DO WITHOUT A PROFIT FOR THE FIRST YEAR. I STILL HAVE A BUSINESS GOING ALTHOUGH I AM RETIRED AND DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE BUSINESS, I STILL CALL THE SHOTS. BEING IN BUSINESS WHERE YOU OWN EVERYTHING LOCK STOCK AND BALL, IS VERY SATISFYING. BE SURE YOU HAVE THE MONEY OR CAN BORROW THE MONEY TO GET THE JOB DONE, THIS AND HARD WORK WILL PAY OFF FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE STICKING POWER. GOOD LUCK TO YOU , HOPE THINGS GO WELL, WE WILL DROP BY THE FIRST CHANCE WE GET DOWN TO LANARK.

We launched out of Lanark Wednesday (June 1st) and they were removing debris and the old smoker shack next to the ramp. Looks like he is moving forward and will surely be welcomed.

Re: Lanark Marina/Market
Talked to Carson the other day after my charter. He finally got all his permits and is moving full steam ahead. He showed me what he's doing and it will really be a welcome addition once he's operational. Not sure when the grand opening will be but he's hard at work remodeling and getting everything ready.

Hey everyone, I have been doing all the demo work that is needed before construction starts. The building has been gutted and cleaned inside, I have been hauling loads to the dump everyday for the last 2 weeks. Monday the roof starts to come off, thats gonna be FUN!

I am shooting for a mid July opening!
