Pinfish Pattern
Hi fellas, just started learning to tie my own stuff this year and I purchased some ep materials to tie up some baitfish flies. I saw the recent post of Enrico tying the Peanut Butter but I have searched all over the net and can't seem to find any instructions on the pinfish. I did see a link from Chalk a while back in this forum to "Drakemag" for one but the link just takes you to the homepage. Any help is much appreciated!!
Re: Pinfish Pattern
fish don't normally like pinfish patterns in your area. It's tied the same way as a peanut butter. Just draw lines

Re: Pinfish Pattern
Thanks hmaad29! Thats what I thought so I've tied a few minus the "drawn-on" stripes. Just curious about what you said above, are you talking about where I live (Tifton, GA) or on the big bend?? I had read in a post on here that its a go-to pattern for Tarpon that migrate up this way during the summer. I want to eventually go after those big fellas but I'm just getting started inshore with trout & reds right now. Any pattern suggestions?hmaadd29 wrote:fish don't normally like pinfish patterns in your area.
