Carabelle 6/4/2011

Post by mojokoko »

Mook and I made last minute decision to head to Carabelle and fish the tournament. We first headed to a
a flat that Mook saw, which ended up paying off big time for us. We got non stop action from trout to
via topwater. We got numerous nice keepers at this spot, which after a hours ended up dying, so we decided
to head to spot #2. At spot #2 we got some more nice fish via topwater and Bite-A-Bait. So after catching
trout pretty much everywhere we went, we decided to stop at our last spot and we got some more decent
trout. Mook had on, what I"m pretty sure, was a pretty huge red, but it ended up breaking off :( We had
two right at 20 inch trout that were really fat right at 20 inches or so we through. We were informed after a courtsey
measure that they were over 20. We were informed that one of them were ok to be weighed, then no, then yes,
then no. The finaly decision was no. One of the trout were right at the 20 inch line but not over. Next time
I need to bring a bucket of ICE and freeze those damn things to death lol. But all in all it was a great day.
Can't wait to do the next tournament.

We caught a total of 17 keepers for the whole day, not including numerous blues and lady fish.
We had ice on them, but I should have bought some more bags and just shoved them inside lol.

Good seeing ya'll 2 again.

Those fish were over 20" on the tournament board and the same people measured and observed all weighed fish. Nothing more fair.
