Econfina 5-29-04

Left the ramp about 6:45am, myself and two buddies. Just out of the mouth we made a big circle to the right and started fishing. Nothing. Decided to go out about a mile or so. Had a Cobia attack my CT and jig. A brief battle and the cobia won taking my rig with him. Moved again and again. Bite was slow but the day ended with a nice cooler full of fish. Off the water about 3 PM with a final tally of:

7 Trout (2 23")
2 Rock bass
1 Blue
1 Rude Dude at the boat ramp

Welcome Welby! I hear the rude dude thing at the Econfina ramp has happened more than once in the last few weeks. It's a damn shame some people have to be that way. Sounds like you had a good day on the water hope he didn't ruin it for you.
