Panama City spots

Post by bigirishllp »

without giving away the farm, can anyone give me a few worthwhile spots to try in and around PC? I am shorebound or wading with a 6 wt.
I have to work over there Wednesdays and Thursdays for the next several weeks.

Thanks Guys,
Mike

Look at a map and look for the state and city parks on the water. They offer spots to wade and can be okay at times...the beach can be real good too if the water is clear....you can sight cast in the mornings before the wind & waves get up from the sea breeze

thanks Chalk. Was a little further west yesterday, fishing a canal off of Eastern Lake and played with about a dozen rat reds, fun on the 4wt. Tried a flat near Port St Joe, loaded with bait and forage, water temps were cooler cause of rain, but no reds or trout to be found :(
