Hey Redfin: Point well taken and duly noted. Although I am a proponent of sponsoring the site, my question to Drifter questioned why folks who like the site don't join earlier, not that they need to be sponsors. By no means was I saying folks should have to be sponsors if they want to post, buy/sell, etc., so quit attacking me....Redfin wrote:Scoop Sea wrote:Caboho: Since I touched on this subject last week(below) in the FSU-OU Tix for sale thread and you happen to be the latest person to do what I was discussing, can you give some insight on why folks don't join until they want to sell or buy something? Not hating on you at all, just curious why folks who know about the site and apparently utilize it don't join earlier.
Scoop- Dont take this the wrong way,not meant to be attacking--- but last I checked, sponsorship wasn't required to sell something, or register or lurk. Sure its encouraged, and appreciated. I can understand (kinda) why you would ask, but still that comes across kinda harsh in my opinion to question someone's joining. I am a sponsor, not from money but from whenever I can help Tom with in kind graphics related help. (Which I heavent had the opportunity to donate my services in sometime--- Tom i'm still here for next gathering). I don't post much, and I see you say not hating, but to someone who may be a newly registered member, which he isn't now we see, your "observation and question" could of came across like the "other forum" tends to do. But thats just my take, not tryin' to be a jerk, just sayin'.
