Rough water Keaton, 10/25/11

Took Dad with me to Keaton yesterday to try the incoming tide. Wind was blowing purty good when we went thru the channel going out. Caught some good bait and headed over to area past Dekle bird rack. We set out cork rigs and got 2 good BSB and several short ones, but not much else. Water temp was 67 deg. and the wind blew hard out of the east all afternoon. Tried 5ft. out to 8ft. and got one keeper trout, lost another trout at the boat and hung and lost another big BSB. Quit at 3 pm with 1 trout and 3 BSB, 2 jolthead porgys we got while catching bait. Not much to show for a long ride over there, but I guess that's why they call it fish'in. I hope everybody else does better.
