My dad finally made it back into town and was chomping at the bit to take his last swings at some gags. Well myself, my wife, and dad were crew for today and pushed away from shell island at 8am this am to a chilly 38F air temp. We proceded to head offshore but with the 3-4 ft waves before we even made it to buoy 1 we opted to sit up in a creek and fish for reds for a while and let her calm down. Good Move...lol...we proceeded to box our limit of nice Redfish to 23" and turn loose 2 more keepers in addition to 30+ shorts. All fish were taken on live shrimp, on the bottom, in a deep hole in an unnamed creek. About 1:30 she looked as thought she was laying off so we hauled @$$ and opted to stay close and troll some 25-30 ft stuff. We really only had time to troll and hour before we had to make our way back in but in that hour we boxed two nice Gags @ 23.5" a piece to top off the season. Limit on Redfish and 2 noice gags to boot...dont get much better than that. And spending it with my dad who has raised a fishaholic and made me the fisherman I am today and my lovely wife who loves being out on the water and cant get enough. -tight lines

Not a bad view while cleaning grouper and redfish
