shimona friction rings on spinning reel

shimona friction ring close the bail assembly by hand spinning the handle to close the bail is not good on friction ring because the trip ride on the friction ring to close. it rub the lube off oring then oring knot up then the bail dont spin free or close .mike flowers reel repair 9262120
