All that Carp'n pays off!

Post by KyTrkyHntr »

Well, after fishing with Chalk a couple of days and fishing alone for a few I wanted to get some Reds on the fly before we headed back to KY. Saturday was the last day to take advantage of the warm weather before we headed back...... In a rush to get on the water I pulled off without any spinning gear so it was going to be fly only that day no matter what the wind was doing!

Found a lot of spooky fish in clear water early, but just couldn't connect. Moved to another spot with stained water and more wind.... as I was cruising the area I saw a "white belly flash" in front of me and realized it was a school of Reds. Put the fly in front of the school and wham! Fish on! Managed to snag chunky little fish out of that school and it capped off a great week of fishing! Can't wait to get back down to PC again!

To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
