Probably about 6-8 weeks too early for Dog Island Reef. The reports from KB have been much better.

Thanks Cap'n Dave,so you think w/ traditional tactics and drifting 3-5 ft of water we may catch 'em? I havent fished alot this time of year, nor Keaton, maybe 2-3 trips and did fairly well.

I'm good w/ Keaton(my first choice, til spring and then it just might be Lanark))but he went to DIR about 5-6 weeks ago and caught 4-5 bulls reds and boy did he get the "bull fever"...his truck will now only drive to Lanark, haha. Can't tell him a thing now!

Big difference between 6 weeks ago and now in terms of water temps. The Alligator Harbor sensor is showing 58 degrees currently.

I'd go shallow at Keaton or else try the Steinhatchee River. Lots of big trout ganged up there now from what I've heard.
